Responsible travel committed with the environment

The practice of a responsible trip is to respect and benefit local people, and the environment. This can only be done by learning a little about the country, the culture and even learning some words from the local language. Responsible travel is more adventurous rather than "massive tourism" since it requires the closest interaction with the local population and nature. When you book one of our adventure pursuits, we will ensure that you practice responsible and sustainable tourism in remote natural areas. You should protect & conserve the fragile ecosystem and wildlife, furthermore respect the custom, and traditions of the local communities visited.

P.B.T. fully supports the principles of responsible travel and sustainable tourism; we will work hard to demonstrate that it is possible to provide an excellent quality service while remaining culturally sensitive, taking care of our trekking and climbing staff, and promoting environmental preservation. In our viewpoint, the only way to improve the standards of tours, treks, and climbs to reduce the impact of adventure tourism on the environment is providing good quality and current information, charging a fair and reasonable price for the provided services (without unexpected expenses) and showing that our company is working for the environment conservation.
As adventure travel Company, we try to produce the minimum impact as possible to the environment on the path where we walk, because we know clearly about the global warning and climate change, which is the main reason that we have a responsibility as visitors to minimize the impact with our presence.

Tourism is one of the most important industries on the planet, therefore it is a very important option for employment promotion for people around the world, obviously, Benefits are much more direct for people living in developing countries, where the income provided can improve your quality of life.

The responsible way to your adventure mean:

Protection & Conservation: of all-natural resources, flora, fauna, and wildlife.

Respecting: the local culture - tradition, religion, and heritage built in the place where you visit.

Benefits: with your visit, you will generate more job opportunities for local communities.

Minimize pollution: removing our garbage during trekking or climbing expeditions, all garbage must be returned to the city to be properly recycled. Therefore, we use specific places to put on our toilet tents in the camping areas so as not to contaminate the water resource.

We offer uncommon routes in places where there are no large groups only upon client request. Here are some great trip programs, just click on this web page. www.perubesttreks.com

Small groups

We are focused on organizing small private groups to give a first-class (personalized) service on tours, multi-day treks, and climbing expeditions to provide a memorable experience for adventure lovers. "You are on vacation - We are here to make your trip something very special." In small private groups, our professional guides can provide each client with the personalized attention they deserve.

No Single Supplements (personal tent)

If you join one of our adventure expeditions as a single person, we will match you with other travelers of the same gender without additional charge. However, if you want an individual occupation or supplement (a personal tent), we can also arrange that for a small additional charge.

We look after our guides, porters, cooks, and muleteers.

We want to make sure that you have a great unforgettable experience during the development of our programs, however, it is also important that everyone involved in the operation of our treks is well treated humanely and cared for (not exploitation), and that the benefits it provides Tourism be shared Throughout the Peruvian communities. All our porters, cooks, and muleteers, sleep in a shared sleeping tent that has a waterproof floor, besides they have access to any first aid equipment if necessary. we consider this to have a humane and fair treatment of human beings, (many companies in the Cordillera Blanca do not practice this important item instead practice it, they try to reduce their salary, and increase their work under non-human treatment, which is visible if you want to decide to make any trek or climb in this region). We can guarantee that our guides, porters, cooks, and muleteers are well treated, receive a fair wage, are well paid according to the price established in each place, where develops the adventure activities, & they have also warm dry accommodation and plenty of nutritious hot meals to eat. This is concerning our program rate is a bit expensive compared to others the reason is here: (fair salary, good client service and humane treatment of staff).
Of course, many other trekking companies in Huaraz will tell you this, just only for selling their programs. However, there are fewer than a handful of companies that genuinely care about their staff.

We take care of our transport animals (donkey, horse)

We focus highly on the protection of our transport animals since they are the other fundamental piece for the correct development of trekking & climbing expeditions, the maximum weight is 35 - 40 kilograms for each animal, therefore we use in our expeditions the necessary amount of animals, according to the number of participants and group luggage. As for the staff, many other trekking companies in Huaraz will tell you this for selling their programs. However, in reality, it is completely different & if you buy with these companies, you will see during the trek those animals are carrying more than 50 kilos, outside the limit of their capacity. Furthermore, you will watch a large group of 10 - 12 people using just only 4 - 5 donkeys for transferring personal and group luggage + and all food supplies, just a day before the departure of your trip, you will be announced that the luggage limit is no more than 5 kilos per person including your sleeping bag. This means if your luggage weight is more than five kilos you need to add an extra payment for extra cargo animals or in another hand, you have to carry in your personal backpack (something that was not planned by you and never was advertised before your booking).
